davidicdesign is a creative marketing firm in Chesapeake, VA specializing in small business and church marketing. Established in 2004 by freelance designer David Rohr, davidicdesign has quickly grown to include much more than just graphic design. Leveraging relationships with media providers, printers, photographers, and other talented colleagues in the tidewater area, davidicdesign is uniquely positioned to provide services that rival much larger marketing firms. We like to say: “We are small in size – but powerful in results”.
Our small size and reduced overhead allows us focus on the real goal, delivering your message to the market. Integrating quality design, beautiful print media, dynamic web content and targeted branding is the sweet spot and essential to communicating your goods and services in the postmodern world. We believe that marketing takes more than a “build it and they will come” attitude, it takes strategic planning in order to win. Anything short of that is missing the mark.
What’s with the name, davidicdesign?
Davidic is pronounced “Da·vid·ic” and is not a clever play on David “I C” Design. I guess that could work, but we are not that subtle. Inspired by the owners namesake and one of the best known patriarchs of Bible History, davidicdesign was born. David, who as a lowly shepherd boy defeated the mighty Philistine warrior Goliath, grew up to be king of Israel, a mighty warrior, poet, and musician. It was also said of David that he was a man after God’s own heart. If you remember the story of David and Goliath, David chose 5 stones from the river and used one of them to fell Goliath. Most would say that killing a giant with a slingshot was extraordinary and it will forever be described as the quintessential underdog victory. That story has always spoken to us and is the basis of who we aspire to be. David took what he knew, let God use what he had, and defeated the problem.
